Honest 1 has always been swift, communicative, and flexible with my car maintenance needs. I recently brought my 18 year old Subaru in for an axle-related maintenance issue. Mark called me shortly after I dropped off the car and suggested that, given the state of the car, it would be smarter to junk it. Didn’t try to sell me anything, was realistic and up front about my options, and didn’t charge me a dime for the inspection when I did decide to junk it. Truly some of the most genuine mechanics out there.

Mark is one of the friendliest and most genuine people I've met. He makes you feel like an old friend when you walk through the door. He's super helpful, fully explaining any issues that arise. It helps so much to understand what's happening with your car, and why it is or isn't necessary to fix. Mark, and everyone at Honest One, excel at this. At my most recent visit, the staff identified a slight issue. Rather than pushing us to fix it, they were honest that it wasn't necessary to spend the money on fixing it--it didn't threaten safety, and it would not harm the car. It's interactions like these that lead me to completely trust Honest One (true to their name) and to make me a lifelong customer.

I highly would reccomend going some place else. They were about to charge me close to $400 more than a quote made by other car dealerships. I felt like they completely took advantage of the fact that I'm young and I dont know a lot about cars. They came down $200 when I called to tell then I was going to bring my car some place else and they gave me a free rental car so that's why 1 star is given. Other than that, would give them a 0 and I will not be going back.

My car brokdown on Friday night 1.00 am, but they took care in very professional way, 100 percent recommend this place.

While in Minneapolis I had a nail in my tire. I was able to find Honest One and they were quick, reasonably priced and thorough. I have recommended them to my daughter that lives there and many friends in the area. Great people.

In all fairness I should admit right up front that I have known the owner since we were both in the same grade and high school class. That being said, I would not for one second hesitate to give a bad review if I had a bad experience here. But I never have had a bad experience, and I know I will not in the future because this is a first-class operation. Honest-1 on Lyndale has been servicing our 2011 Chevrolet Equinox for more than 5 years. Oil changes, leaks repaired, routine preventative maintenance, tire rotation, etc. - they do it all. They always have some coupon or sale and every time I go in they apply some kind of discount - usually better than whatever I bring in with me! So, this is pretty rare but I can say unequivocally, this is a business you can count on to just take good care of your car. If we hadn’t moved to Texas recently, I would still be bringing my car there. It’s one of the businesses we wish we could bring with us to Texas!

Great customers service! Both Mark and Jonathan are very personable and friendly, walking me through every step and keeping Jen updated with anything new. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I'm 26 and been driving since I have been 16. I've had plenty of car problems in that period of time, too, since I've been driving cars about as old as me for a good chunk of that time. In the US there is a great deal of distrust when it comes to mechanics. I feel like being over charged is almost expected. So when I went to mechanics that were "family friends" and payed tons of money or had something new break immediately after taking my car in (literally every time) I just accepted it as part of vehicle maintenance. But in my old age I decided to try something new: I read reviews and ended up deciding to go to Honest One. Despite the redundancy of saying so, they really do seem to live up to their name. The staff are exceedingly pleasant, the quality of care is great, and nothing has broken down since taking my car in.

On time & on the money! They are complete and efficient and I don’t need to bring my car back so many times. I would recommend them to anybody
